The UK-built watchlist and social network for film and TV bingers
BingeAway is a personal watchlist tool wrapped around a focused social network. You can:
We built BingeAway for people who actually watch a lot of things and want to remember why. If you've ever finished a four-season binge and forgotten which spin-off you meant to start next, that's our target user. If you keep a paper notebook of films you've seen, or a spreadsheet, or a chaotic Notes app list — BingeAway is the version of that with proper search, social, and a calendar that knows when your shows are back.
It's deliberately not Letterboxd. It's deliberately not Trakt. It's deliberately not "social media for film buffs." BingeAway is for serial bingers — people who treat watching as a hobby, who want their history, their friends' opinions, and their next watch all in one place, without the algorithmic feed pressure of larger platforms.
Streaming made discovery harder, not easier. There are now too many platforms, too many algorithms, and too many recommendations from companies whose interests aren't aligned with ours. Friends still recommend the best things, and a list you wrote yourself is still the best filter for what you'll actually enjoy. BingeAway exists to make those two things effortless.
We also wanted a watchlist that respects you. No selling your data. No personalised ad profiles built from your viewing habits. No engagement-bait. Pay £1.99 if you want it ad-free; use it free with contextual ads if you don't. Either way, what you watch is your business.
BingeAway is owned and operated by AMVEN, a UK-registered limited company based in London. AMVEN is a small studio building consumer software with a focus on privacy, longevity, and design. We're funded entirely by subscriptions and contextual advertising on the free tier — no investors, no data deals, no acquisition pressure to ruin the product.
BingeAway is built around the assumption that what you watch is private unless you choose to share it. Every account is private by default. Public reviews are public; everything else — your watchlist, your in-progress shows, your Binge Partner history — is yours alone unless you publish it. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketing partners. Free tier advertising is non-personalised and contextual only.
We're regulated by the UK Information Commissioner's Office and operate exclusively under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Read the full Privacy Policy for the technical detail.
We're not trying to be everyone's social network. We're trying to be the watchlist you still use in five years — loaded with everything you've ever finished, the few people whose taste you actually trust, and a calendar that quietly tells you when the next season drops. That's the whole pitch.
